ISIS

The picture above was taken in Syria in September 2015.  It shows 15-20 kids that are all under the age of 10 being executed by Isis militants. For those who don’t know Isis stands for Islamic State in Iraq and Syria. It’s a group of extremist people who claim to be Muslim. Nothing other than screaming Allah Akbar (God is greater) when they kill innocents proves they’re Muslims. They kill Non-Muslims in the worst ways possible. From burning kids to making people jump from buildings while shackled to putting people in cages before drowning them while they beg for mercy to cutting their heads off.  They’ve killed around 170 000 people (mostly Christians) in Iraq and an unknown number in Syria.  

The group was originally founded by one of Osama Bin Laden protégé, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, in 1999 as Jamaat al-Tawhid wa-l-Jihad (JTWJ). Then, between 2004 and 2006, they created al-Qaeda. After a year together, and several warnings from Al-Qaeda to Zarqawi asking him to tone down the violent enforcement of the sharia law (which is the body of Islamic law. The term means "way" or “path), they split. Al-Qaeda argued that Abu’s ways were rejecting some Muslims and hurting the goal of global jihad. After the split, Abu and his followers created ISIS. They were under the radar until 2013 when they really started killing more and more people.

Isis’ missions is to create an Islamic state, called a caliphate, across areas in Iraq and Syria. A caliphate is an Islamic state where sharia Law is strictly enforced and led by a single supreme religious and political leader. ISIS currently control seven cities In Iraq and nine cities in Syria. They attack city by city and more often than not the army just runs away. I don’t blame the soldiers though. It is known that the soldiers that get caught suffer more before their deaths than everyone else.

Isis Targets Christians, Shia Muslims, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syriac and Armenian Christians, Yazidis, Druze, Shabaks, and Mandeans. Also, everyone who disobey Sharia law, and are considered infidels. In the first eight months of 2014 approximately 10,000 innocent civilians have dies from beheadings, crucifixions, and at gunpoint at the hands of ISIS. They’ve also been known to rape women and young girls in their claimed territories. That was a year ago, now they’ve reached new lows. They now throw people off high buildings and put others in cages before drowning them.

Where does Isis get all its weapons and soldiers?  The group is funded largely through oil smuggling, but also through mafia-style criminal enterprise such as kidnapping for ransom and bank robbery. Isis made an estimated 70 million in 2008. God knows how much they make now. With that kind of money, any type of weapon is available. As for the soldiers, they don’t join for the money. Some join because they really believe the group’s ideologies and others join because their families could be killed if they don’t.

After mass shootings in Paris and San Bernardino, we can now say the whole world is under attack. ISIS had made threats to the U.S. but they hadn’t made a move until recently. If they can get in the U.S. like they did, no country can stop them. We’re all at war and all we can do is pray because ISIS is not going down without taking lots of Innocent lives with it.

In my opinion, all this is non-sense. I just don’t understand how one can take someone’s son or daughter’s life like it’s nothing. This is what the world has come to, maybe all this is a hint that it’s almost the end.
